The Receptionist manages the Neskonlith Events Facebook page. This page gives our members the ability to get daily reminders of our events happening here at our main Chase Office. Our page welcomes Community member’s advertising for their personal events as well. If you have an event that you would like us to advertise email me at the above email address and I can work with you to post. We welcome to post your live pictures on our events in the page.

Our Council Executive Assistant is responsible for all Chief & Council’s business contacts. This position runs out of our Tmicw Building in Chase. The Council Executive Assistant is responsible for scheduling all Council Meetings. This position handles all requests for Delegates to present at our Council meetings. The Elder’s Coordinator works for Neskonlith, in collaboration with all Administrative departments such as Wellness, and Housing to ensure our Elders receive proper programs and services. Our Elder’s Coordinator is able to advocate on Elder’s behalf. The Elder’s Coordinator also provides home support visits to seek additional resources for sustainability of our Elder’s program.

The Family Support Worker works for Neskonlith, in collaboration with the Ministry of Children and Family Development (“MCFD”), and Secwepemc Child & Family while supporting families and children that are at risk or involved with Child Welfare. With ongoing intervention, prevention, education, and support to the families and children. Family Supports mandate is to reduce and improve outcomes for children and families involved with both MCFD and SC&F.
Family Support has an Emergency Line, set in place to support families in Emergency Situation or Emergent Child Welfare Occurrences. Neskonlith Indian Band (“NIB”) Administration Department provides financial support and services to Neskonlith Band members and organizations through its donation initiative program.
Donations are intended to be used for such things as facilitating events and/or activities that lead to positive growth, achievement, healthy development and betterment of our community or individuals.
A donation is a gift given for charitable purposes and/or to benefit a cause. A donation may take various forms, including cash offering or services.
- All recipients must complete Donation Application or Letter
- Outlines all details pertaining to Event/Activity.
- Groups are required to submit detailed budget and explanation of benefit to community.
- Submit a minimum of a week in advance of Event and/or activity Allows our finance team to process payment
- Anything under 5 business days will be denied

- Application will be date stamped to ensure Executive Director knows when request was submitted
- Applicant must give a follow up phone call to Receptionist for confirmation of event in application and confirming Neskonlith received your application
- NIB’s Executive Director gives final approval for all donation requests and is based on budget availability
- Await final decision. Applicant will be notified of final decision via letter or email.

Neskonlith provides assistance to our Members when a family experiences the loss of a loved one. Neskonlith has implemented a Funeral Donation Policy to assist our community in these most difficult times.
The Next of Kin of deceased will be required to appoint a Designated Representative or Family Spokesperson to deal with all funeral services. The Next of Kin and/or Designated Representative/Spokesperson first step is to gather all information needed and meet with NIB’s Social Development Intake worker.
Travel Costs for the immediate surviving family of the deceased Neskonlith Member by providing a financial subsidy up to a maximum payout of $500.
Wake Food Costs Financial assistant for the use of supplementing food costs for the wake, up to a maximum of $500
Funeral Food Costs Financial assistant for the use of supplementing food costs for the funeral, up to a maximum of $500
Non-Member Donation: Financial assistant for any community member residing in Neskonlith community and is not a Neskonlith Band Member we provide a financial subsidy up to a maximum of $500.
All Funeral Donations will be released to Appointed Family Representative or Spokesperson

SA 108 Assistance

NIB’s Band Social Development Worker is the only person qualified to submit an SA 108 form to INAC. The process is to bring below information to our Band Social Development Worker to fill out an SA 108 form. These documents are used to verify if deceased is eligible for INAC funding. INAC has a very specific funeral donation policy. Neskonlith must follow INAC’s guidelines in order to get the following donations reimbursed from INAC.
Required Information of deceased:
- Full Legal Name of deceased
- Birth Certificate of deceased
- Primary Address of deceased
- Name of Next of Kin
- Next of Kin’s final decision regarding funeral arrangements and services
- Statement of cost of funeral costs
- Most recent Bank Statement of Deceased
This information is needed to fill out SA 108 Form

Our Directors are responsible for their own department. They run all of their day to day operations, and each department has their own mandates and policies in place which align with their departmental goals. For this reason if a concern can only be raised to appropriate Director.
